28th Opal Day - 54th Scroll AM

So last night it was movies at Tortimor's. I got the lucky draw on what we watched, but Hugh was pissed. He wanted to watch that cute cuddly live action "Charlotte's Web." I didn't think that was very fitting, with the whole Halloween theme around town. Plus Jack felt we should watch something more SPOOOOKY! I of course went with gross, but in a soft way. That's when I put in the movie "THE RUINS!" Unrated edition of course. Overall, most of the girls like Baabara and Marina had to leave the room during the leg offing scene. I thought the movie was alright, had a take on the whole Hostel thing of well to do american travelers in a foreign country wondering off somewhere they probably shouldn't have gone. It had me hooked until the part where they discovered it was the plants making the Cell phone ring. At that point I was expecting a chopper to land with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Oh well. The whole, I'm a medical student doesn't mean I would have trusted that Jeff Character's ideas. Not to mention the blond chick, Stacy; what a head case. Would have thrown her off the Ruins right away. The ending leaves you with questions, especially if you see the alternative one with the funeral. Well could have been worse, we could have ended up watching the Descent. Cyrano and Ribbot like the brief nude scene with the blond chick, they started to throw candy corn when it turned out to be so short. I would recommend you rent this movie if you really don't have any other choice.
